Fabiana Papaleoni designed this course to teach Italian at a beginner level. It is organized into several units, each focusing on three main areas: grammar (including word usage, articles, and verb conjugation), language practice (through listening, reading, and writing activities), and an introduction to Italian culture. I personally create PowerPoint presentations and handouts, and I utilize both printed textbooks and digital resources—such as videos, music, and games—to enhance learning, engage students’ interests, and make lessons enjoyable.

Learn to Speak Italian 2 – Intermediate Level
This course is designed for students who have completed the beginner’s course and are familiar with nouns, articles, and regular verbs in the present and past tenses. Students should be able to communicate and understand basic Italian in everyday situations, such as introducing themselves or ordering in a restaurant.
The course offers deeper exposure to the Italian language through increased practice and immersion. The instructor will gradually speak primarily in Italian, using authentic materials—such as texts, news articles, interviews, and videos—to build conversational skills, expand vocabulary, and boost confidence. Grammar instruction will focus on additional verb tenses (passive, conditional, imperative, gerund), prepositions, modal verbs, and practical communication for daily life situations, including booking accommodations, giving directions, and writing letters or emails.
