Citizenship
To become an American citizen is a dream of many who come to this country. Citizenship classes teach American History and Government in preparation for the citizenship exam and interview.
- Classes are FREE to residents of Ansonia, Derby, Monroe, Seymour, and Shelton.
- Duration: 11 classes per session
- Classes are held at Valley Regional Adult Education - located in the Richard O. Belden Cultural Center, 54 Grove Street, Shelton, CT 06484
Citizenship Classes for 2026 - 2027
- The FIRST class for Fall 2026 is Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 6:00 - 8:30PM.
- Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays.
- The FIRST class for Spring 2027 is Wednesday, February 24th from 6:00 - 8:30PM.
