Citizenship

To become an American citizen is a dream of many who come to this country. Citizenship classes teach American History and Government in preparation for the citizenship exam and interview.

Classes are FREE to residents of Ansonia, Derby, Monroe, Seymour, and Shelton.
Duration: 11 classes per session
Classes are held at Valley Regional Adult Education - located in the Richard O. Belden Cultural Center, 54 Grove Street, Shelton, CT 06484

Citizenship Classes for 2026

The FIRST class is Wednesday, March 4th from 6:00 - 8:30PM
March 4th, 9th, 11th, 16th, 18th, 23rd, 25th, 30th, April 1st, 6th, and 8th.
Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays.
