Students prepare to improve their academic knowledge in Mathematical Reasoning, Science, Social Studies, and Reasoning through Language Arts in order to take the state-administered GED® test.
If you are 17 years of age you must also provide a copy of your withdrawal letter
signed by your parent/guardian from the last day school you attended to register for the class.
All classes are held at the Adult Learning Center located at 415 Howe Ave., Shelton.
Registration must be done in-person.

Eligibility requirements are:
You must have a valid Connecticut picture ID.
17 and 18 year olds must have a letter from the last high school they attended stating
they have been withdrawn 6 months or more OR the class they entered in freshman year has graduated.
There is a $13.00 fee for students 21 years of age and older. Veterans are exempt.
When you are ready to schedule an appointment to register for the official GED® exam
call Linda Romano, GED® Counselor, at 203.924.6651 ext. 113.
Summer (June - August) appointments are scheduled on Wednesdays between 9:00am and 11:30am.
Daytime (September - May) appointments are scheduled on Fridays between 9:00am and 11:30am.
Evening (September - May) appointments are scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays between 6:00pm and 8:00pm.
