GED Test Takers in CT - Important Info

Get approval to test with these simple steps!

Want to take the GED test, but can’t schedule because you need to clear the Connecticut state policy alert in MyGED?

Don’t worry! Clearing this alert is simple.
Follow the steps below and you’ll be testing in no time.

To test in Connecticut:

Stop by your local registration center, in Ansonia, Derby, Monroe, Shelton and Seymour it is Valley Regional Adult Education at 415 Howe Ave., Shelton and bring with you:

•Proof of identity and residency (driver’s license, driver's permit, state identification card OR passport)
•$13 fee to cover the cost of your diploma (for test-takers over 21 who are NOT veterans)

Once you successfully complete these steps, a yellow “Start Scheduling” button will appear on your MyGED dashboard and you can schedule your test.
