Getting to Know Your Antique Collectibles
If you collect or own antique glass, china, toys, small collectibles, postcards or stereo views, but not furniture and would like to learn more about them, this is the class for you! You will learn how to tell whether what you own may be valuable, how to care for it, how to spot a fake and how to find others like it. The first class will provide an overview of collectibles and you will be invited to bring in one or two antique item(s) for the second class. The final night will be dedicated to learning how to spot fakes, reproductions & fantasy items and how to shop for your collection. This class is taught by David Williams of Ansonia, owner of an antiques store and long-time collector.
