Valley Even Start

Attend a fun and exciting learning program for the whole family! Valley Even Start (VES) is a program for families with children, ages 3-7, enrolled in a licensed preschool program (Head Start, School Readiness, Day Care, etc.) or in public school. VES provides English as a Second Language and ABE/GED classes, parenting education, interactive literacy activities and home visits for residents of Ansonia, Derby, Monroe, Seymour, and Shelton. Valley Even Start is made possible through the CT Dept. of Education utilizing federal funds contained under Part Title I, Part B Subpart 3 of the Elementary And Secondary Education Act of 1965 as reauthorized and amended by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 public law 107-110. Of the total cost $202,688, 50% is derived from federal funds.
